Julie Fornaciari
Julie Fornaciari (she/her) is a Program Manager in the Energy Conversion Group. Her work focuses on managing the Energy Earthshot Research Center, Center of Ionomer-based Water Electrolysis, and the Clean Hydrogen Technologies Alignment Cooperative. Previously she was an ORISE Fellow at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office in the Department of Energy focused mainly on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Energy and Environmental Justice work. She was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at UC Berkeley, where she got her PhD in Chemical Engineering. Under the supervision of Dr. Adam Weber and Professor Alex Bell, her PhD work focused on transport phenomena in electrolytic devices. She is passionate student outreach, science communication and bridging the gap between scientists and non-scientists, and workforce training for the next generation of scientists.
